- Brandy R. McCann, 33, of Indianola was charged with operating while intoxicated and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia (marijuana pipes)after police stopped her vehicle for speeding in the 100 block of East 23rd Street South at 1:10 a.m. Saturday. She was taken to the Jasper County Jail.
- Julie A. Johnson, 59, of Newton was charged with driving while barred after police stopped her at 12:21 a.m. Sunday in the Git-N-Go parking lot in the 800 block of First Avenue West for driving with an inoperable brake light. She was found to be barred from drving until March 2015. She was released to appear.
- Jennifer A. Powers, 39, no permanent address, was charged with driving while license suspended and fourth degree theft at 11:42 a.m. Saturday after police were called to the EconoLodge on a report a missing night drop of $445.74. Powers, the overnight employee at the motel, denied the theft. The envelope the drop was made was later located in the trash dumpster behind the business. Powers was later stopped fro driving with a suspended license at which time she admitted to the theft and returned the money, minus $5.74. She told police she took the money because she was "desperate." She was taken to the Jasper County Jail.
