State troopers present program on teen driver safety

Troopers Doug Cutts and Brian Shelley of the Iowa State Patrol's Safety Education Unit presented a program on the Anderson Erickson stage at the Iowa State Fair on Tuesday morning. With the assistance of some teens from Jasper County, the troopers covered such topics as proper seatbelt usage and the dangers of texting and driving. Information provided by the state patrol did not include the names of the Jasper County teens. The N.I. is seeking that information and will update when it and if it becomes available.
