Newton woman charged with attempted murder

Newton Independent

WHO-TV is reporting that a Newton woman has been charged with attempted murder following a shooting at an east-side Newton home on Saturday.

Jane Marie Shine, 52, was charged after police were called to 511 E. 26th St. S. on a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, police found Eric James, 35, injured. He was taken by air ambulance to Iowa Methodist hospital in Des Moines where he was listed in stable condition.
