Newton Elks Lodge celebrating 100 years as fraternal organization

The Newton Elks Lodge #1270 is celebrating 100 years as a fraternal organization in Newton today.

The club is hosting a celebration for Elks members and their families and guests from 4 p.m. to closing. Food will be served from 5 to 8 p.m.

"We are very excited about the accomplishment and what it means to all of those who have helped keep the Lodge thriving today," said Exalted Ruler Bill Cobbs of the Newton Elks Lodge 100th anniversary.
