To the Newton Independent:
I guess I sometimes make people sick in the head when they read my letters to the Newton Independent. I'm sure it is their head that gets sick because some people write mean things about me but they don't have any guts to sign their name. I mean you can't get sick in your guts if you don't have any, can you?
So, I'm sorry that I make some people sick in the head because of what I write. It's not my fault if those gutless people were sick in the head before they read my writings. Being sick in the head, they probably say mean things about other people, too.
As a follower of Jesus, I am bound to forgive the gutless, sick in the head people. So I do.
I saw President Obama making a speech here in Iowa Tuesday. I felt blessed because one seldom has a chance to witness such a ground-breaking, historical person in their lifetime. Win or lose, what Obama has put in motion is going to change America in more ways than any president since FDR, and all for the good.
