To the Newton Independent:
The most funny thing I saw last week was on TV where Mr. Romney was telling the members of the mostly black NAACP that he would get rid of what he called "Obama Care" and that he was their man who would help them out of poverty. Oh funny, funny, funny.
This from a man who represents a Republican party that has a nationwide agenda to try and keep as many black and brown Americans as they can from voting in the next election.
You are darn right he is their man; if they are stupid but I don't think they are.
The most important story of the week was the article on the last page of the metro edition of the big paper in Des Moines that said mutation of a common virus kills hundreds and most were children. So what, you ask, that is happening way over in Vietnam and other Asian countries.
You say! Well, my friends, there is no safe country in the world any more and those germs can come here and get your children. And there are idiots in this country who want to get rid of the United Nations and the World Health Organization.
Now, what about the drought in the U.S.A. Well, don't worry your pretty little heads. You won't go hungry. The United States will buy food from the poor countries. But if the drought continues, clean water will be the water. Too much water in the oceans and not enough water on land.
I'm betting that the Republicans will try to blame the bad weather on Obama. My lawn is turning brown and I was mad as hell until I remembered that I don't have to pay someone to mow it. God is great!
