Former Newton councilman Jim Plumb dies

Newton Independent

Funeral services for former Newton City Councilman Jim Plumb will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Wallace Family Funeral Home, 1115 E. 19th St. N., in Newton.

Mr. Plumb died on Saturday.

Members of his family will meet friends from 11 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service.

Mr. Plumb served one term on the Newton City Council from the city's First Ward. He ran for re-election last fall but was defeated by Jeff Price.
