The Newton Chamber of Commerce is announcing a "New and Improved" Ridiculous Day set for Saturday, July 21 on the downtown square.
Many downtown businesses will be participating and having special bargains and sales. Sales will begin at 7 a.m. and run until 4 p.m. with a Show & Shine Car Show hosted by Skiff Medical Center and the Chamber set to run from 3 to 6 p.m.
Also featured that day wil be the opportunity for any vendors or non-profit organizations to set up on the downtown square to sell new or second-hand items between the hours of 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. Any vendors selling food must have a proof of insurance and may stay through the car show. No registration is required for the car show. Cars will line-up for display on the north and west side of the square on a first-come, first-served basis. Awards will be given out.
In addition, the Newton Kiwanis and local newspaper are holding community garage sales on the same day.
