HIRTA begins Newton to DM shuttle service

HIRTA Public Transit is now offering a shuttle service between Newton and Des Moines.

The door-to-door shuttle will run twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The shuttle will leave Newton at 9 a.m. and return at 1 p.m.

Because of the door-to-door service, those using the service need to call in advance at 877-686-0029 to schedule the ride.

The cost of the round trip ride is $10. The service is open to the public.
