Women seeking assistance with their college tuition costs are invited to apply for the 2012 Miss Iowa Speedway Scholarship Program with the individual selected receiving a $1,500 scholarship payable toward tuition costs.
"Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited college or university in the United States for the 2012-2013 school year to be eligible," said Debb Smith, director of the Iowa Speedway Foundation. "This will be our fifth year doing the program, and every year we have seen a new record for applications."
The deadline for entry is Friday, March 23. Applicants must be 18 years old by May 19, 2012, the date of Iowa Speedway's first race.
