TPI CEO pens op-ed piece on extension of tax credit

Steve Lockard, the CEO of TPI Composites, the wind blade manufacturer in Newton, penned an opinion piece on FoxNews.com today calling on Congress to extend the federal Production Tax Credit for the wind energy industry.

Titled Will Congress Let Us Keep Creating American Jobs?, Lockard argues that the 700 jobs TPI has created in Newton, along with another 100 at Trinity Towers in the former Maytag production plant, can be duplicated in hard hit towns across the country, but only if Congress acts to extend the credit set to expire at the end of next year.
