The United Way of Jasper County will hold the second of two county-wide summit meetings at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Innovation Center on the Iowa Telecom/Windstream campus at 403 W. 4th St. N. in Newton.
The public is invited to the summit to collaboratively identify concrete short- and long-term goals to address the top critical needs identified at the first summit meeting and to brainstorm methods to reach those goals.
The top critical needs identified to be addressed in Jasper County were: 1) positive parenting skills/community support; 2) substance abuse; and 3) economic stability.
