Jasper County residents will put a new supervisor into office this year after Rick Tiedje indicated he will not seek a second term in office.
Dennis Parrott, county auditor and commissioner of elections, said candidates vying for open county seats have until March 31 to submit petitions containing the names of 100 eligible county voters to be placed on the June 8 primary ballot.
County elected officials up for election this fall include Supervisor John Parsons, County Attorney Mike Jacobsen, Recorder Nancy Parrott and Treasurer Doug Bishop. Parrott indicated that all the Democratic Party incumbents have indicated plans to seek re-election.
