She didn't get the pre-race publicity like Danica Patrick, but Newton-native Jill George raced alongside the Indy-car superstar at Saturday's ARCA race at Daytona International Speedway in Florida, the first race of the 2010 season
George, a Cedar Falls chiropractor, made hard contact with the wall on lap 27 forcing her car to flip in a spectacular crash that red-flagged the race for about 20 minutes. The impact ripped the front half off her car. She was able to walk away unscathed.
