More than 1,000 Alliant Energy electrical customers in Jasper County remain without power this morning, the company is reporting.
Late this morning, the company said 1,011 customers in the county were still experiencing power outages following Wednesday's ice storm. A total of 1,784 electrical customers are still without power in the company's east central region, the area encompassing Jasper County and areas to the east.
Across its service territory, which includes sections of Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin, Alliant was reporting a total of 5,256 electrical power outages, the largest in southwest Wisconsin where 2,660 customers remained without power following the storm.
