The Jasper County Conservation Board is teaming with the Jasper County Elderly Nutrition program to host a program aimed at keeping seniors active at the same time providing information on the natural environment.
An Older, Wiser, Livelier Seniors (OWLS) program will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13 at the Jasper Community Center that will feature local artist Clark Weaver and his wood carvings and paintings of life-like wild birds.
Mr. Clark's art work has won awards at shows across the country and recently his wood duck won "best of show" at the Iowa State Fair.
