County residents are invited to join a discussion on global climate change, clean energy solutions and creating green jobs in a presentation slated for 2 p.m. Sunday at the Jasper County Community Center, 2401 1st Ave. E.
The New Energy for Jasper County event, hosted by the local Democratic Party, will feature a presentation by state Sen. Rob Hogg, D-Cedar Rapids, vice chair of Senate Environment and Energy Independence Committee and ex-officio member of the Iowa Climate Change Advisory Council.
Local Jasper County elected officials, including Sen. Dennis Black, D-Lynnville, will also participate in the discussion.
