To the Newton Independent
I would like to share a little story with you about my snow thrower and I. Today I was committed to take the three-foot deep snow off my deck. So I started my trusty 826-D John Deere blower and worked my way around to the steps blowing snow everywhere.
I plowed past the bird feeders throwing the snow on the five-foot drifts created by the snow fence. I laid a four-foot piece of plywood over the deck steps and squeezed the hand engage lever while pushing with my body to get it onto the deck.
Well, folks, it pushed back. You see, it was in reverse.
So I found myself lying on my back like a fat turtle flopping around trying to right myself. After I did get on the deck my snow thrower found a rug under the snow and tried to eat it. The thrower only got it half way through the second stage auger before it sheared bolts. One hour later the thrower was fixed and ready for our next adventure tomorrow.
I am sure many are enjoying the snow in similar ways.
