To the Editor:
I am a liberal and I am not ashamed of that title so, as you might expect, the 30 or 40 thousand new troops now being sent to Afghanistan is a burden on my heart. But make no mistake about it; I am not ready to abandon Obama.
There are three powerful forces that are in control of America at this time: 1. the banking industry; 2. the insurance industry; and 3. the one President Eisenhower warned us about - the industrial military complex. All three forces make money from us being at war.
When Obama took office this nation was in one hell of a big mess and yes, we are still in trouble. If you believe that one year is enough time for him to figure out how to control evil excesses of the big three powers in America, then you have to believe Obama is God. He is not.
Obama is just a very smart mortal man who jumped into a terrible mess. In hoping that if there is a God, he, she, it will help him out. In the meantime, I will pray for him and I will give him my support and more time. He is deserving of no less.
