The Skiff Medical Center Board of Trustees will hold closed sessions today and Tuesday to discuss patient care quality and process improvements.
The meetings, being held at 1 p.m. today and 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, are being closed to the public because marketing and pricing strategies, along with other proprietary information, will be discussed and "its disclosure would likely harm the hospital's competitive position and no public purpose would be served by such disclosure."
At last month's regularly scheduled board meeting, an action item on the agenda to discuss the hospital's "scopes of care/service and staffing plan" was deferred until January. Susan Howell, the B.E. Smith consultant acting as the interim director of patient care services, was to have led discussion on the item.
The agendas released concerning today's and Tuesday's meetings indicate no action is being planned to be taken.
