KCCI television is reporting that the Clemons Chrysler Jeep dealership is planning to close its doors this coming Saturday due to the poor economy and lack of profitability at its Newton location.
According to KCCI, some of the dealership's 12 employees will be able to take positions at facilities it also owns in Boone, Marshalltown and Oskaloosa. Some will lose their jobs.
The television station is reporting that the remaining assets of the dealership will be auctioned on Nov. 27.
The local newspaper reported on Clemons' pending closure on Friday, citing going out of business signs on the dealerships' windows.
