This is a bizarre story. A New York man is claiming that when his cell phone rings in the kitchen, it turns on his Magic Chef gas stove. Really turns it on. To broil.

The lonely repairman apparently was unable to come up with a solution. And Whirlpool, which acquired the Magic Chef brand after buying out Maytag, just became aware of the situation Monday. Officials say they are looking into it. You can read the report here.
