The Newton Independent made an official request for the production of documents from Skiff Medical Center today.
The N.I. has requested that the city-owned hospital provide contractual information between Skiff and B.E. Smith for its operational assessment study and its current on-going analysis of operations, including all costs associated with providing the service. A copy of the operational assessment has also been requested.
In addition, the N.I. has asked for contractual information pertaining to the interim directors hired by Skiff, including costs of service and ancillary expenses.
The N.I. has also asked for a copy of the 2009-2010 operating budget.
